The term, “Malay Dance'' includes a variety of dance genres from the Malay Archipelogo. The Malays were opened to integrating different foreign influences into their folk and social dances. There are four different basic dance genres namly: Zapin, Joget, Asli and Inang. Each of these dances have their own unique origin story, purpose and key developments!
